With reference to paragraph 7 of my Confidenti- -al Despatch of the 8th. of August, I have the honour to inform you that the Managing Director of the Chinese Section of the Canton-Kowloon Railway is unwilling to enter into any arrangement under which British Engines would be used for hauling trains on that Section.
2.
I understand that the question of obtaining additional rolling stock for that Section on a system of deferred payment with interest is now being considered.
